PROJECT OVERVIEW
This project involved the design of a new office space for a wealth management firm serving high-net-worth clients. The existing space felt sterile and uninspiring, lacking the warmth and visual presence needed to reflect the firm’s aspirational brand and client experience.
DESIGN INTENT
The intent was to design a space that stood apart from typical short-term rentals—one that felt atmospheric, collected, and memorable. Rather than relying on light, neutral finishes, the design leaned into depth, contrast, and warmth to create a moody yet inviting environment that encourages guests to linger.
KEY CHALLENGES
The primary challenge was balancing visual richness with practicality. Darker palettes and layered textures needed to feel intentional rather than heavy, while finishes and furnishings still had to withstand frequent use and turnover.
Another consideration was creating a cohesive mood without sacrificing comfort or broad appeal.
DESIGN APPROACH
Color and contrast were used strategically to establish atmosphere, while durable materials and timeless silhouettes ensured longevity. Furnishings were selected for both comfort and visual impact, and finishes were chosen to age well rather than feel trend-driven.
The space was designed to photograph beautifully while feeling even better in person—an important factor for short-term rental performance.
OUTCOME
The result is a distinctive, elevated retreat that feels intimate and refined. The space offers guests a sense of escape while remaining practical to operate and maintain. Visually, it stands out in listings; experientially, it feels thoughtful, warm, and complete.
