We develop the overall design direction, think ahead to the decisions coming next and stay closely involved as the home takes shape, so you're not left trying to manage hundreds of individual choices on your own.

Three ways this takes shape
Design involvement from the decisions that shape the home to the details that finish it.
BDC works alongside your architect, builder and trades to develop a cohesive interior direction and carry it through cabinetry, materials, lighting, plumbing, interior detailing and other design decisions throughout the build.

From layout and cabinetry to materials, fixtures, lighting and architectural details, BDC brings the individual pieces of a renovation together so the finished home feels intentional rather than assembled decision by decision.
A finished home, without spending the next two years furnishing it room by room.
BDC develops the furnishing direction for the home as a whole, including space planning, furniture, lighting, rugs, window treatments, art and accessories, then manages procurement and installation to bring everything together.
What full service actually means
Scope varies by project. The specific areas of work included in your engagement are defined in your proposal and Design Service Agreement.
How a project begins

If the project appears to be a fit, we'll invite you to a complimentary discovery call.
We'll develop a custom scope and design fee based on the level of involvement your project requires.
BDC develops the vision and works through the design decisions in a structured sequence.
We remain involved through the applicable construction, procurement and installation phases defined in your scope.

Every full-service project is custom scoped and quoted based on the size, complexity and level of design involvement required.
For planning purposes, full-service furnishing projects typically begin around $10,000 in design fees, while comprehensive new construction and renovation engagements typically begin around $25,000–$30,000 in design fees and increase based on scope.
Furnishings, materials and construction costs are separate from BDC's design fees.
BDC accepts a limited number of full-service projects at a time so we can remain closely involved throughout the design process.
